The German Inklings Society hosted Germany’s first Chesterton Conference in 1996. Board member Elmar Schenkel , Chair of the British Literature Department of Leipzig University, regularly teaches classes at the University about Chesterton and gave a talk on Chesterton’s 140th birthday at Domforum adjacent to Cologne Cathedral on 27 May 2014.
