Chesterton Direct

  • A Starter Course on G.K. Chesterton.... Given to us by David Hawkins as an interest section of his home page, this site is clean and clever with good information that makes it true to its title, plus links to other Chesterton resources. It offers quotations that, either by clever design or random luck, are not, for the most part, duplicated elsewhere.

  • G.K. Chesterton Mega-Links Page and Quote of the Week.... David Armstrong provides that staple of the Internet - a good, long "Links" page. It is extensive and neatly organized. Here, too, find a Chesterton "Quote of the Week."

  • The Christian Classics Ethereal Library.... Run on a server at Wheaton College. Read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section to find out about this site - there is an abundance of literature here. You will find complete texts of the following Chesterton titles in a variety of formats:Orthodoxy, Heretics, The Club of Queer Trades, The Innocence of Father Brown, The Wisdom of Father Brown, The Man Who Was Thursday.

  • G.K. Chesterton Web Page.... A wonderful page created by Martin Ward in the U.K. and dedicated to G.K. Chesterton. You will find a brief bio of Chesterton, a few very fine photos, links to Chesterton-related sites, and an assortment of Chesterton texts.

  • The Chesterton Review.... A listing in the site of the Canadian Magazine Publishers Association providing a brief description of the review plus subscription information. Edited by Father Ian Boyd, this is the scholarly journal of Chesterton's work and thought.

  • Chesterton Day by Day.... Selections from the Writings in Prose and Verse of G. K. Chesterton, with an Extract for every Day of the Year and for each of the Moveable Feasts. (The text of a 1912 book of daily Chesterton Quotations, reprinted here in full.)

    Branching Out From GKC

  • The Hilaire Belloc Studies Page.... This site, maintained by Matthew M. Anger, is "...dedicated to the study of Hilaire Belloc (1870-1953), one of the most prolific and thought-provoking Catholic writers of this century." Belloc was a close friend and associate of G.K. Chesterton, and this site is a fine portal through which to discover him.

  • C.S. Lewis and the Inklings Web Site.... Lewis was a contemporary closely associated with G.K. Chesterton. This site will introduce you to this member of the GKC extended family.

  • The Agrarian Society & "The Agrarian Steward".... According to Mr. David E. Rockett, this site "...is new, small but offers [our] newsletter, 'The Agrarian Steward,' which follows the Jeffersonian/Caroline/Randolph tradition of agrarianism which the 1920 Nashville Fugatives and "I'll Take My Stand" (1930) agrarians took against Industrialism (I now call Darwinian Fascism). The Southern agrarians are very close to the ChesterBelloc Distributism ..."
